new card club!!

Just incase you haven't checked out my classes page recently I wanted to tell you all about a new card club I am running. This is a once a month club and costs just £7.50 to make 5 gorgeous cards! There is no commitment to attend every month.

Each month will have a different theme for example masculine, kids, birthdays, thank yous, love, etc.

This month's theme is Valentine's, Friendship & Mother's Day. And below are the 5 lovely cards we will be making.

Aren't they gorgeous?! So if you would like a relaxing evening out crafting, complete with tea and cake, call me on 01604 949827 or email me on amanda_burditt@hotmail.co.uk to reserve your seat! Feel free to bring a friend.

Look forward to seeing you there!

my dad's birthday card

I thought today I would show you the birthday card that I made for my dad last week. I had to take the photo at night inside - the lighting is really poor so sorry for the bad quality photo - I'm sure you get the idea though!

Vintage Happy Birthday

Stamp Set: Letter It Alphabet
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White
DSP: Everyday Elegance (SAB)
Accessories: Mini Brads

I stamped out the letters for HAPPY and then cut them out, sticking them roughly in the centre of the card. I wrote birthday in my handwriting underneath. I added some strips of the Everyday Elegance DSP and finished off with some stitching lines. I did a little bit of sponging with Crumb Cake ink to distress the card and calm down the white. Finally I added brads between each of the letters in the word HAPPY to make it look like they have been pinned down.

Another quite simple card really, I hope you liked it. Leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Thanks for stopping by.

loved up

Okay so I think I am officially loved up with the You Are Loved stamp set. Sorry for all you out there that are getting tired of seeing this stamp set - its just so pretty!

Thinking of You Roses

Stamp Set: You Are Loved
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Peach Parfait, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Whisper White, Peach Parfait
Punch: Eyelet Border

Really quickly then, I coloured in a stamped the rose stamp twice, without reinking so that it gave this two shade look. Next I stamped the sentiment and finally just to add a little more colour I added a strip of Peach Parfait punched with the Eyelet border punch just under the sentiment.

This card is very quick and simple to produce, another one that's great for bulk makes or to quickly whip up in a hurry for that occasion you forgot about (let's face it, we all do it!).

Thanks for stopping by,

Amanda xx

spring blossoms

Hi there folks!

So, today is another card I made using the Easter Blossoms set when I went for a play session at Vicky's last week.

Springtime Blossom

Stamp Set: Easter Blossoms
Ink: Basic Black, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Pretty in Pink
Punch: Scallop Trim

I stamped the blossom branch and then coloured it in with the markers, then stamped the sentiment in Regal Rose ink. To finish it off and add a dash more pink, I used the Scallop Trim border punch to give the strip some more detail and that was it. Very pretty.

What do you think? Leave a comment and let me know!

Thanks for stopping by, catch you tomorrow!

simply stampin' challenge week 44

So now that I am back to blogging I am also back to the Simply Stampin' Challenges - sorry for my lack of participation over the last couple of months - hopefully the other design team members will understand!

This week's challenge is a Colour Combo Challenge. The colours are...

What lovely earthy colours, and here is what I created -

Earthy Vintage

Stamp Set: Fresh Vintage (SAB), Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy, River Rock
Cardstock: Very Vanilla
Punch: Postage Stamp

So this is just a really simple little card using the Fresh Vintage Sale-A-Bration set. This one would definitely be one you could whip up on mass! I stamped the large floral flourish in River Rock and then added the border strip in Early Espresso on a separate piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. I brushed the edges of the card strip on the Early Espresso ink pad to just give it the very slightest hint of definition. I really wanted to make a clean vintage card this time - I banned the sponges! I coloured in the postage stamp, punched it out with the postage stamp punch and then did the same technique of brushing the edges on the ink pad. Finally after adhering the pieces together I added a little sentiment in the bottom corner. Voila!

I hope you liked it! Please make your way over to the Simply Stampin' Challenge blog to see the other design team's creations and then enter your own make! I can't wait to see what you come up with (and don't forget, if you don't have the exact colours, just use the closest ones you do have!)

Happy Crafting!

you are love some more...

Another quick little number for you today using the You Are Loved set from the new mini.

Love Roses Spray

Stamp Set: You Are Loved
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip, Wisteria Wonder
Cardstock: Whisper White
Punch: Decorative Label

I stamped the roses to make a small spray and added the Love decorative label punch piece to the centre! Very simple but cute!

I hope you like it. Please do feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think! I love reading them. Thank you.

Happy Crafting,

yummy cupcakes!!

A quick creation showcasing the new Create A Cupcake stamp set and punch that is in the Sping mini at the moment.

Yummy Cupcakes

Stamp Set: Create A Cupcake
Ink: Soft Suede, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz
Punch: Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border, Cupcake Builder
Big Shot: Polkadot embossing folder
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones, Linen Thread
Extras: Red Permanent Marker

I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and then ran it through the polkadot embossing folder. I used the stamps from the Create a Cupcake set and the Cupcake Builder punch to stamp and punch out all the pieces for my cupcakes. The co-ordinating punch makes using this stamp set such a breeze! I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch here too and tied some linen thread around the card. Finally I adhered the cupcakes together and added a rhinestone to the centre of the flower for a little glitz.

TIP: You can colour in the Basic Rhinestones and Pearls with permanent markers to make them coloured! This is the perfect way to insure you will always have the size and colour rhinestone/pearl you are after!!

Catch you again tomorrow!

fresh vintage

Yesterday saw the beginning of the Sale-A-Bration. Today  want to show you a couple cards I have made using the Fresh Vintage SAB set.

Sorry for the poor image quality - its been pretty miserable outside - I am looking forward to lighter days and happier weather!

Fresh Vintage Thank you

Stamp Set: Fresh Vintage (SAB), Curly Cute
Ink: Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, Rose Red, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: So Saffron, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Rose Red Seam Binding

I stamped the border stamp all over the background in Crumb Cake. Next I coloured in and stamped the large floral image on some Very Vanilla cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in Rose Red and then sponged everything with Crumb Cake to make it look vintage. Finally I added some ruffled Rose Red seam binding ribbon along the edge and adhered it all together.

Fresh Vintage Letter

Stamp Set: Fresh Vintage (SAB), French Foliage, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Always Artichoke, Rose Red, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Whisper White, Always Artichoke
Punch: Postage Stamp
Big Shot: Scallop Envelope

I stamped the french hand written note from French Foliage on a small piece of Whisper White cardstock. I distressed it and sponged it with Crumb Cake to make it aged and vintage. I also sponged the scallop envelope. I coloured in and stamped the sweet postage stamp from the new fresh vintage set, and punched out the new postage stamp punch. Again I sponged and the adhered to the envelope, I stamped the Paris postmark and water splotches from French Foliage, the friend to friend sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes, and the large flower from the Fresh Vintage set on the envelope - each of these images work really well together to add to the vintage feel. The large Fresh Vintage flower was stamped all over the back ground of the card to tie everything together.

Come back tomorrow for some more creative inspiration!

spring is just around the corner

Good morning all! Getting back into the groove here with another little number from the Spring Mini.

Spring Girl

Stamp Set: Easter Blossoms
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Wisteria Wonder
Punch: Scallop Trim Border, Decorative Label
Big Shot: Top Note
Extras: White Gel Pen

I began with a card front that was a third smaller than the back, so I then punched the scallop trim border,  next I used part of the negative scrap left from the top note die in wisteria wonder to create this edge trim. I added a thin strip of chocolate chip to finish off the edge. The card front is still smaller than the back but it adds a nice look when the card is closed and a strip of the very vanilla is showing. I stamped the girl silhouette in chocolate chip. Also in chocolate chip I stamped the sentiment on some wisteria wonder and punched it out with he decorative label punch. I had a small strip left which I used the decorative label punch to add a detail to the ends and adhered it over the top. Finally I used a white gel pen to add a couple stitching lines.

I hope you liked this creation, I will be back later today with some more information about the Sale-A-Bration that has started today!

Happy Stamping,

Amanda x

Monday 23 January 2012

i'm back - new spring mini!

Wow its been a long time! I finally got a new laptop - one where I can see the whole screen and doesn't drive me mental when I'm trying to do photos and blogging etc on it!

As you can imagine I have a fair few bits and pieces to show you from the past couple of months so stay tuned for some well overdue updates!

To start with a little Stampin' Up! news - Stampin' Up! has released a Spring Mini Catalogue (valid til April 30th) - it has lot of really pretty things in it and I am having fun playing with the things inside! If you'd like to see the catalogue for yourself you can view it here or why not book a party with me, to see and earn products free for yourself!

In addition to this Stampin' Up! is having their annual Sale-A-Bration promotion which starts tomorrow and continues til March 31st. Sale-A-Bration is an exclusive line of stamps and accessories that ANYONE (hostess AND customer) can earn for free when they spend during the SAB period. It is a great sales booster for your party and everyone is a winner.

If a lovely main catalogue, fabulous mini and Sale-A-Bration aren't incentive enough to host a party - what is!?!

If you would like to host or find out more about hosting or placing an order please email me on amanda_burditt@hotmail.co.uk or call me on 01604 949827.

Now for a quick little creation - something from the new mini to tempt you!

You're Loved Sweet Friend

Stamp Set: You Are Loved
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Peach Parfait, Chocolate Chip, Wisteria Wonder
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink
DSP: Wild Wasabi
Punch: Eyelet Border
Big Shot: Petal Cone die

I used the stampin' write markers to colour in the heart stamp - it took a little while but really makes the image pop! The heart was stamped slightly off centre to leave space for the banner. I cut out the banner from the Petal Cone die and stamped my sentiment on it in Rose Red ink. To finish off the card I added a piece of Wild Wasabi DSP with the eyelet border punch just to balance out the card.

So what do you think? Come back tomorrow for some more Sale-A-Bration info and another creation! I am really sorry for being absent for so long and am really looking forward to getting back into blogging and sharing my creations with you all!

Until tomorrow,

Happy crafting,

Amanda xx
